The Surf 'n Creel tackle bag was originally designed to replace that old nasty burlap bags lined with plastic and get real stinky after several times of use. The fish smell never did come out of the plastic no matter how many times you washed it. Worse yet, the plastic began to wrip apart after only a few times qafter fishing. The old style you dipped the bag in water before use and then as the water evaporated, the bag was supposed to stay cool. But what really happened is that the wet bag dripped all over your pants!

So, Albackore designed a fishing creel inside a soft tackle bag. The cooler can be removed and thrown into the washer or just rinsed out to remove the fish blood and odor. You can also use the bag without the cooler portion. It will hold 2-3 3700-style plano or shimano plastic utility boxes. There are two pockets on the fishing bag one on the front to keep your main fishing tackle and gear like bait and one on the back to keep things like a knife or other fishing gear. There is also a front mesh pocket for holding the tackle that you need immediately, like small utility boxes, leaders, hook packs, or fishing bait.

A fishing tool holder for a needlenose or hemostats on one side and a drink holder on the other ensures that you'll have everything you need for and organized fishing trip. Besides the obvious shoulder strip, the surf and shore tackle bag also comes with a waist strap. When clipped around your waist, just slide the bag around to your back and it will never get in the way of casting or fishing.

Note that there is no metal zippers or rings on this tackle bag, so there is nothing to corrode or rust ever. We do recommend that you squirt a little silicone spray on your derlin zippers every few months or so throughout the fishing season.
